Keep one address book for the society
Add someone once and they’re ready to pull onto any trip - name, handicap and tee travel with them.

The first time you add someone to a trip - pasted in from a spreadsheet, lifted off a photo, or typed in by hand - the app saves them to your society’s member directory. After that you don’t retype them: on any future trip, pick "Add from members" and tick who’s coming. Their name, handicap, tee and email come with them, so the only new information for each trip is who’s actually playing.
The profile is where the handicap lives
A member’s handicap sits on their profile, not on any one trip. Change it there and it’s the number the app offers next time you pull them onto a trip. A trip you’ve already built keeps whatever handicap was on file when you added that player to it, so a round you’ve already scored never moves under you just because someone updated a number afterwards.
One person, even in two societies
If a member plays with more than one of your societies, you can link the two records instead of carrying two strangers with the same name. Confirm the match by email, or by an organiser vouching for them directly if there’s no email on file, and the person appears in both directories as themself, not a duplicate. Each society still keeps its own handicap for them from that point on, so a change on one side doesn’t silently move the other.
