A player can’t open their scoring link

Almost always one of three things: scoring for that round isn’t open yet, they’ve tapped an old link from earlier in the chat, or the link itself got mangled being copied or forwarded. Check them in that order.

Per-trip plan

Scoring has to be open before the link means anything

A scoring link only exists once you have opened scoring for that round. A link copied or sent before you selected Open scoring - or a link for a different round - points at nothing, and the player sees a screen reading Scoring link not found. Open scoring for today’s round first, then send the message from there.

An old message further up the chat

Every scoring link is tied to one specific round, so tapping an older message opens that OLDER round rather than showing an error. If you have since closed that round, the player lands on a Scoring closed screen instead of today’s card - which reads as broken, but they are simply on the wrong day. Point them at the newest message you sent for this round, not the first one they find.

The link itself is broken

If neither of those is it, the link may genuinely be invalid - a truncated forward, a link pasted twice, or a stray character picked up crossing between messaging apps. Go back to the round’s scoring controls, use Share scoring links or Copy group message, and send a fresh copy. It costs nothing to resend, and the player is scoring again as soon as they tap it.
