Run a season: results, standings and prize night

Results that file themselves

The moment scoring closes on a round, the app works out the final placings. Ties are split by proper countback (see the glossary) - the back nine, then the back six, then the back three, then the last hole - and the results page shows that working for anyone who tied, so the outcome is plain rather than an argument in the bar. Nobody is adding cards up by hand while everyone else is on their second drink.

Set the season up once

1. Create a season and give it a year.
2. Add the fixtures that count towards it.
3. Choose how it is scored, such as the best five rounds out of eight.
4. Share the public standings link with your members.

From then on the standings add themselves up across every event, giving you an Order of Merit (see the glossary) that keeps itself. The Played column shows how many rounds a member has entered and the Counted column how many of those actually score, so a member who has played eight rounds in a best-of-five season can see at a glance which ones are carrying them.

Prize night is already done

When prize night comes round, the year is already settled: the winners are right, the countback holds, and nothing has to be rebuilt from a pile of old emails. "Who won in April?" is a tap on the public link rather than an evening in your inbox.
