Playing for more than one society
Sign in and "My golf" shows everything you are down to play, your handicap with each society, and your recent scores - across every society you play with, with nothing to set up.
For playersYou show up automatically
The app matches you to a society by the email address on your account. Once that society has actually sent something to that address - a tee sheet, a scoring link, or an invite - "My golf" offers to add it: "We found you also play with [society] - add it to your profile?" Choose "Yes, add it" and that society joins the others on your page; choose "Not now" and nothing changes. Being listed as a player somewhere is not enough on its own; the society has to have reached you at that address first.
Nothing to set up on your end
You do not fill in a form or tell anyone which societies you belong to. Every society keeps its own list of members and its own records, and "My golf" simply gathers what is already there under your email address into one view: your upcoming rounds, your recent scores, and your handicap with each one.
Your handicap can differ between societies
Each society keeps its own handicap index for you, updated by that society on its own schedule. If two of them have you at different figures - one quicker to update than the other, say - "My golf" shows both side by side, each one labelled with the society it belongs to and when it last changed. Nothing is merged or averaged into a single number.
