Check and sign off a card as marker

What a marker does here

A marker keeps the card for other players rather than only their own. Open your scoring link and, if you are marking, you will see a banner telling you so and every player in your group listed below it. You enter each of their scores hole by hole, the same way you would enter your own.

This is the answer to phones dying, signal disappearing on the back nine, and players who would simply rather not. One person with a working phone can carry the whole group.

Check before you submit

The running totals update as you go, so a wrong number usually shows itself before the end - a hole that scores far more or far fewer points (see the glossary) than the round is going. Submitting is deliberate: you confirm it, and after that the card is in.

If something is wrong after submitting, it is not a crisis. Ask your organiser to reopen scoring for the round and the card becomes editable again.

You do not need an account

Your scoring link is all the access you need. There is no app to install, no password, and nothing to sign up for. If you can open a message on your phone, you can mark a card.
